EVIAN+ required a dynamic branding toolkit due to the global launch of the new product, we created an app with numerous parameters for dynamic animation typography; enabling any languages to be immediately animated into a dynamic, physically based typography, that could then be exported as alpha-channel animations straight out the app. This negated the need for each market/language making their own boutique CG. It was coupled with a packaged Premiere/AE+Cine4D workflow, to enable an easy and incredibly cheap way of updating the animations
What was important was the “feeling” of the bubble animations, needing to match playful rhymes and metaphors, such as ‘Feeling Foggy? Get Fizzy,” so, the generative animation was made to match this feeling, with adjustable parameters. This effectively streamlined the visual design process, allowing for a quick and cost-effective translation and application of the complex visual style. The app was used for both the Static & Video content.

The app was curated to ingest any language character, to create a bubble animation for the global toolkit side of this campaign. The cans themselves were 3D scanned and a key focus for Evian was having the cans “sweat”. Having the animation illicit a feeling weightlessness, to heighten the feeling of bubbling carbonation. Physically-based 3D animated bubbles were created within a boutique app, and each elements of the bubble – size, spacing, and bubble interactions – were modifiable with each other, as well as their physical reaction to the other bubbles and the can.
